T-Wolves Waive Ratliff

The Wolves have bought out center Theo Ratliff's contract for the remainder of season. This will make Theo a Free Agent following a 48 hour period where he must clear waivers, after which he is expected to sign with his former team the Detroit Pistons. Detroit Drafted Theo with the 18th pick in the 1995 Draft. He went on to have two productive seasons in Detroit by leading the team in blocks in both his rookie and sophomore seasons. Until being traded to the Sixers for Jerry Stackhouse in the middle of his third season. With Theo no longer being on the Wolves roster it will no doubtingly open up minutes for the Wolves to look at their rookie center Chris Richard. Richard a 2nd round pick by the Timberwolves, is fresh off a recent stint in the D-League where he was averaging a double-double. So now that he has gotten himself back in playing shape (after sitting on the wolves bench for most of the first half of the season) I hope that he can provide defensive toughness near the paint...

Pick of the Litter: T-Wolves Draft Prospects

Hassan Whiteside While there is plenty of competition at the Center position, Hassan Whiteside tops our list as the best Center in the 2010 NBA Draft. The Marshall big man enters the Draft after finishing what was the most dominate performance by a freshman since Michael Beasley at Kansas State in the 2007-08 season. Beasley dominated the scoring column during his only season with K-State while Whiteside's stats were more impressive across the board. To call him a stat stuffer would be an understatement as he recorded 3 triple doubles in points, rebounds, & blocks (he also had games were he ended having a double double with 9 & 8 blocks on the side). Needless to say Whiteside possesses natural shot blocking abilities that are a combination of his great anticipation and freakish 7'7" wingspan (tied with Shaq for 3rd longest in past 20 years). Aside from his potential as the anchor of a teams defense, he also has an offensive game that is quite diverse and well deve...

A NEW LOOK FOR THE NEW FIELD

Old Logo New Logo Well what do you think? Obviously the changes are minor, the most noticeable being the navy colored ring around the baseball that says Minnesota Baseball Club inside of it. A change that is a little less noticeable to the every day person is the new TWINS font. First off the font is less block like, now with sharper edges on all the letters especially the S in Twins. Also there is no longer an embedded navy shadow highlighting the red Twins font, instead the font now has a bold navy outline all along the letters. You'll also notice that the baseball has been rotated so the stitching no longer runs through the Twins font. The stitching size was also increased which makes the proportions of the ball more accurate to real life. JERSEYS: The changes to the Navy Alternate Away jersey are subtle as only the new font has changed on the front of the jersey. However the Gray Away jersey got a complete over haul as the Pin stripes have been washed away and the Block letters...
